The Background
A builder, first.
Sanj Aggarwal was born in Prince George and has called the Lower Mainland home since 1993. A BCIT graduate with a polytechnic degree in Marketing Management, Sanj came into construction with a background that spans marketing and advertising, building material sales and distribution, and the business side of residential building.
By the time he founded Icon Projects in 2004, he understood the industry from more than one angle — how homes are planned, supplied, built, communicated, and ultimately experienced by the families who live in them.
Sanj holds the designation of Certified Master Residential Builder, and Icon Projects Ltd. is licensed through BC Housing. Every new home Icon builds is backed by BC's required 2-5-10 home warranty protection. But for Sanj, those standards are only the baseline. The real measure of a home is how well it lives — how it functions day to day, how the layout supports real routines, and how the decisions made during construction hold up over time.
Today, Icon builds custom homes and multiplex projects across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Sanj's approach is practical and detail-driven: build beyond the minimum standard, communicate clearly, and make decisions that serve the people who will actually live in the home.
After more than two decades in residential construction, that remains the standard behind Icon's work — homes built with purpose, technical care, and a clear understanding of what good living requires.
